This picture - taken about 1904 - shows John Lang,
the headmaster of what was then Kilmaronock Public School standing at his door watching over his pupils. The school originally served all the local villages, and later the schoolroom saw service as a village hall.

Here is the house over 100 years later. Hilary took over this already well established business in December 2005 and is continuing the legacy of offering guests a warm welcome to her home.
