 Situated on the A811 and easy to find, The Old School House is 1 kilometre outside the village of Gartocharn, on the eastern side. it is an easy 30 minu te drive from Glasgow Airport. After dark the house is well lit, and there is ample safe car parking.

The area is served by a rural bus service to Balloch and Stirling. Balloch railway station is less than 10 minutes by car, and has a frequent service directly into the centre of Glasgow.
